Ravensburger is preparing a new dice game series called Rolliverse, built around interchangeable themed sets that can be played on their own or combined into a larger game. The publisher says the line will arrive first at Target in the United States in December 2026, with a Canadian release following in January 2027.

The series was created by designers Michael Palm and Lukas Zach and pairs classic dice-rolling mechanics with card-based strategy. Six sets will be available at launch: Minecraft, Star Wars, Stitch, Dragons, Foodimals, and Rolli's Adventures. Ravensburger says additional sets are planned beyond that initial lineup.

How a turn works

In each set, players roll dice and try to collect cards by assembling winning combinations. A turn allows up to three rolls, which players use to match combinations and score cards taken from their hand or from a shared display. Each theme introduces its own rules, characters, and illustrations while keeping the underlying system consistent across the line.

Every set is built from the same component list: themed dice, character cards, artwork specific to that set's world, and a special rule card that carries the set's individual twist. The variation sits in the rules and characters rather than in the core loop, so a player who has learned one set can move to another without relearning the system. Because all six sets share those mechanics, themes can be mixed and sets combined to accommodate larger groups.

Player count, age range, and pricing

Rolliverse is designed for players ages 7 and up. A single set supports two to four players, and combining sets raises the maximum to six. Play time runs about 15 to 20 minutes per game.

  • U.S. launch: Target, December 2026, $11.99 per set
  • Canada launch: January 2027, $14.99 CAD per set
  • Launch lineup: six themed sets, with more planned
  • Player count: two to four per set, up to six when combined

Licensed themes in a short-session format

The lineup leans on established entertainment properties, with Minecraft and Star Wars among the launch themes alongside Stitch, Dragons, Foodimals, and Ravensburger's own Rolli's Adventures. Putting well-known licenses into a low-priced, short-session format gives the publisher a way to place familiar characters on shelves at an entry-level price while maintaining a single rules system across the range. How the individual themes perform at retail will not be clear until the sets reach stores.
