Four designs, a notebook-and-pencil gift box and a collectable pin set form the line, backed by a central London stamp trail.

Moleskine has released a Paddington collection developed with STUDIOCANAL Kids & Family, a line the company says celebrates the character's curiosity, imagination and the appeal of life's perfectly imperfect moments through four distinctive designs.

The range brings several product types together:

  • a Paddington-themed notebook;
  • three cahier designs;
  • a giftable bundle box holding a large canvas notebook and a set of coloured pencils;
  • a set of two collectable pins.

Moleskine is aiming the collection at Paddington enthusiasts and collectors, at stationery buyers and at anyone who still enjoys putting pen to paper. The pins and the notebook-and-pencil bundle are the more gift-oriented pieces in the line-up. The company presents the project as a combination of its own signature approach to creative expression with the enduring appeal of one of Britain's best-loved literary characters, and as a tribute to Paddington's creator, Michael Bond.

Stamp trail across central London

The launch is being marked with a Paddington trail titled "The Mystery of the Missing Marmalade", to be held on Sunday 1 November from 1pm to 4pm. Families and fans are invited to explore central London, visiting Moleskine stores, partner shops and the Paddington Official Store while collecting stamps at the stops along the way. Anyone who completes the trail receives a special limited-edition Paddington cahier. The four-hour window and the stamp format give the promotion the shape of a family city walk rather than a single in-store event.

Retail distribution

The collection can be bought online and in all UK Moleskine stores. It is also stocked by selected Waterstones, John Lewis and Ryman stores, Selfridges London and WHSmith stores, placing the line beyond the brand's own retail network. Prices and production quantities were not disclosed.
