Landscape Forms has relaunched SHUFFLE, a modular smart-pole system that combines lighting, connectivity, sensing and electric-vehicle charging in a single vertical structure for public spaces.
The company said the relaunch responds to rising customer expectations as public spaces add single-purpose pole sensors, cameras, lighting and connectivity infrastructure in areas where space is limited. Municipalities, campuses and commercial developers are seeking to expand site functionality without adding visual clutter or extra cost, according to Landscape Forms. SHUFFLE is intended to consolidate those capabilities into one adaptable system.
SHUFFLE stacks Wi-Fi, cameras, sensors, two-way communications and EV-charging capabilities into a pole that is designed to be easy to activate and install. Modular components allow customization and future adaptability, while the integrated design is intended to bring modern aesthetics and efficiencies to busy, multi-use environments.
Landscape Forms has also added a new build feature to its website to simplify configuration. Clients can specify preferred camera and technology brands and choose from a range of options within each category.
Configurable modules
According to the company, the modular design can be configured for specialized environments as well as general public spaces, adding security and convenience in places where people gather to work, travel, study and recreate.
New feature updates include plug-and-play options such as a 360-degree area light, a decorative light ring, a 180-degree area light, quad-view and 180-degree cameras, motion sensors, and loudspeaker and intercom modules.
Landscape Forms identified potential applications including university and business campuses, airports and commuting hubs, shopping malls and tourist areas, concert halls, city parks, sports venues and hospitals. The company said the system’s multi-use adaptability and communication features make it suited to site managers handling a range of requirements.
Design intent
Shannon Lee, business development manager for smart poles at Schréder, described SHUFFLE as a solution site designers have been waiting for. In a statement, Lee said the system was designed to fit busy public spaces with product and feature sets that can be updated as site needs evolve. Lee added that safety and connectivity are integrated without dominating outdoor spaces, making the system accessible and user friendly.
Jordan Agustin, president of lighting at Landscape Forms, said SHUFFLE represents technology and design working together to make outdoor spaces safer and smarter without compromising aesthetics. Agustin said the new features and capabilities enhance the beauty and functionality of outdoor space while advancing the company’s mission of connecting people to the outdoors and each other.
The relaunch positions SHUFFLE as a platform that can be configured and updated over time rather than a fixed single-purpose pole. Its modular approach also gives site designers a way to select technology brands and functions within a common outdoor structure.
