Bambu is continuing a feature-by-feature tease of its upcoming H3C 3D printer, moving from multi-color output to multi-nozzle and multi-filament compatibility.
The latest teaser image shows a multi-component watch built with three combinations: a 0.4 mm nozzle and 1.75 mm filament for the rigid case, a 0.2 mm nozzle and 1.75 mm filament for fine details, and a 0.4 mm nozzle with 2.85 mm filament for a soft, rubbery strap that appears to be TPU.
Two implications stand out. First, Bambu appears to be adding 2.85 mm filament compatibility for soft TPU and similar materials. Second, and more significantly, the image suggests that 0.2 mm and 0.4 mm nozzles can be used in the same print.
That would address a long-standing user request. Bambu’s existing H2D and H2C dual-nozzle printers, and likely the newer X2D, are understood to restrict each job to one nozzle, preventing 0.2 mm and 0.4 mm mixing. The teaser implies that a job can combine nozzle and filament sizes, presumably across multiple objects, but it does not explain how software limitations would be addressed.
It also remains unclear whether mixed-nozzle printing will be limited to the upcoming H3C and the unannounced P3C or extended to compatible existing printers. Bambu has not disclosed pricing, availability, or the full software requirements. A teaser video adds that watch components were printed in place as a single part using multiple nozzle and filament sizes.
