Aggreko has launched three Tier 4 Final diesel generators configured for remote Canadian work sites, with the models available exclusively to Canadian contractors. The units come in 145 kW, 210 kW and 1200 kW 600 V capacities and are intended to meet and exceed local market requirements.

The generators combine Aggreko's latest technologies for reliable, low-emissions power with hardware designed around Canadian electrical and fuel regulations. All three models are CSA and UN31A compliant. Aggreko says they are suitable for a range of commercial and industrial applications while being configured for the conditions Canadian contractors face.

Onboard 600 V capability

The 1200 kW model carries the most distinctive technical feature: onboard 600 V capability. That allows the generator to deliver 600 V power directly, eliminating the need for an additional step-up transformer. Aggreko says this reduces project complexity, improves cost-efficiency and minimizes potential points of failure. The benefit is especially relevant for large industrial loads where 600 V is frequently required.

Paul Nascimento, managing director for Canada at Aggreko, said tailoring the company's most advanced generators for Canadian customers underscores the importance of the market. He cited large petrochemical and mining industries that need power across vast and remote territories, alongside thriving construction and data-centre sectors. Those conditions, he said, create clear demand for engineered energy solutions that are both powerful and precisely configured. Aggreko positions its Canadian Tier 4 Final generators as a response to that demand, pairing current generator technology with hardware tailored to Canadian operating requirements.

Rapid deployment and large-load roles

The 145 kW and 210 kW models are canopy units designed for quick deployment when immediate energy is needed. The 1200 kW model is aimed at large industrial loads. Together, the three additions strengthen Aggreko's Canadian fleet, which spans 25 kW to 1200 kW.

Through its Canadian service-centre network, Aggreko's energy experts work with customers in data centres, construction, oil and gas, mining and events to deploy temporary power. The new generators are therefore aimed at both short-term site power and larger industrial requirements, depending on the model selected.

According to Aggreko, all three units provide industry-leading fuel efficiency, ultra-low emissions and significantly controlled noise levels, surpassing local requirements. The company also highlights Canada's expanding data-centre industry as a particular fit. As provincial regulators look to limit how much power data-centre operators pull from the grid, Aggreko says its Tier 4 Final generators can supply off-grid energy to keep facilities operational in a way that is minimally disruptive to communities.
